Frequently Asked Questions
What operating systems does the Cre3d Controller support?
The Cre3d Controller supports Windows 8+ only. Controller input (not keyboard or mouse) may work on other operating systems which support XInput but it is not guaranteed. Custom builds of Windows are also not officially supported. You may contact me if you have questions.
Does this work on Xbox, PlayStation or any console?
No. Consoles have security features which block unlicensed peripherals. Unless someone decides to open-source their workaround this is not something I plan to add.
Does the controller work with any adapters for consoles such as XIM or Cronus?
There is no official support for any such adapters. However, the below is a list of adapters which have been reported to work by community members. Troubleshooting and abiding by games' or consoles' terms of service is the sole responsibility of the user.
Note: These will generally only support controller input and not keyboard/mouse input.
Device Name | Console | Community Reports |

Magic-NS | Nintendo Switch | 1 |
Can I get a controller with non-Kailh switches?
Yes. Custom switches are available on request for an additional fee.
Do you accept returns or offer refunds?
Since the controllers are made to order, I do not accept returns or offer refunds for any reason. The responsibility is on the buyer to ensure the controller fits their desired use case and that the sizing fits their hand size. Functionality is verified prior to shipping. If the item is damaged during shipping you should take it up with the shipping provider.
If you have an issue please contact me. Any replacements or refunds will occur by my sole discretion and on a per-case basis.
Can I have the 3d files to print one myself?
No. However, in the event that I stop selling controllers I will open source the CAD files, schematics and all other documentation.
Can the controller perform macros?
No. The official firmware does not support macros and never will. Every button press will perform only one action.
Can I get banned for using the Cre3d Controller?
The responsibility is on the user to make sure that the Cre3d Controller abides by the terms of any online games or tournaments they play. Some games have rules about using multiple input methods simultaneously, in which case users would need to make sure their currently loaded profile does not utilize any keyboard or mouse binds. The below are additional reasons why the controller should be legal in most games:
-
The controller does not require any 3rd party software for key remapping or input switching which are commonly exploited for cheating.
-
The controller uses default drivers so there are no risks of exploitation/cheating through compromised or unsigned drivers.
-
The controller firmware does not support macros and never will. However, an individual could write their own firmware to enable macros.
